ON HIRING SKILLED IMMIGRANTS

EMC’s Michael Yu, Jaime Guererro and Dennis Mercado joined the networking and speaking event at The Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax May 5, 2010 themed “The Business Case for Hiring Skilled Immigrants, A Win-Win for Employers and Immigrants”. The Honourable Darrell Dexter, Premier of Nova Scotia spoke about the importance of immigration to the province, in areas of economic growth and cultural diversity. Gordon M. Nixon, President and C.E.O. of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), and Chair of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), shared his views on the business case for hiring skilled immigrants and the link between integrating diversity into your workforce and the success of a business.
